Buy and sell signals across your NSE stock watchlist, not one chart at a time

An index trader watches one chart. A stock trader has the opposite problem: a couple of hundred F&O names plus whatever is moving in cash, and on any given morning only a handful of them are doing anything worth trading. The work is finding those few before the move is over, and then not being fooled by a thin counter or a results-day gap.

WizeBuySell is buy sell signal software for NSE stocks that runs on AmiBroker and TradingView. On each chart it marks a buy or sell at candle close with entry, T1, T2, T3 and a trailing stop-loss. On AmiBroker it also scans an entire watchlist in one pass and lists every stock with a fresh signal, which for stock traders is the part that earns its keep.

Why the scanner matters more than the chart for stocks

Flipping through 150 charts every 15 minutes is not possible. AmiBroker's Exploration does it for you: point it at a watchlist, choose the timeframe, and it returns a table of symbols with a new buy or sell, along with entry, targets and stop-loss for each. A full F&O list typically finishes in seconds.

Set it to repeat as each candle closes. Sort the result by sector and patterns appear: five PSU banks with a buy on the same candle says more than any one of them alone. That is breadth, and no single chart shows it.

TradingView has no equivalent for an invite-only indicator. There you add the indicator to each chart and set alerts symbol by symbol, within the alert count your TradingView plan allows. That suits a list of ten or fifteen stocks, not the whole F&O universe.

Setting up a stock scan in AmiBroker

  1. 01

    Build the watchlist

Start with F&O stocks only; they are the most liquid names on NSE. Add cash-only stocks later, once you have seen how thin counters behave.

  2. 02

    Pick one timeframe

15 or 30 minutes for intraday, daily for swing. Scanning several timeframes at once produces conflicting rows and indecision.

  3. 03

    Run the Exploration

New signals appear as rows, and popup and sound alerts fire for each one.

  4. 04

    Filter by hand

Drop anything with results due today, anything that has already covered most of the distance to T1, and anything where the stop-loss distance is more than you are willing to risk.

  5. 05

Open the chart before you trade

The scan finds candidates. The chart shows whether the signal sits just under obvious resistance or came after a long run.

Liquidity is the first filter

Reliance, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBIN and Infosys trade in such size that a signal price is a price you can actually get. Further down the list that stops being true. A mid-cap with a wide bid-ask spread can show a tidy entry at ₹642.00 on the chart while the offer sits at ₹643.50, and the stop-loss fill will be worse again. These prices are illustrative.

The software has no notion of spread or depth, so the filter is yours. A workable rule: look at the entry-to-T1 distance and ask whether spread and slippage on both sides would eat a third of it. If yes, skip the stock on intraday timeframes. On a daily chart the same stock may be perfectly tradable, because the targets are further away.

Intraday cash positions are squared off by your broker before the close if you do not do it yourself.

Results days, gaps and corporate actions

Stocks gap far more than indices. A quarterly result, a management exit, a block deal or a regulatory order can open a stock 5 percent away from its previous close. A daily-chart position carried into such an open is filled at the open price, not at the stop-loss printed on the chart.

The results calendar is public. Before acting on a swing signal, check whether the company reports within your expected holding period; many traders simply do not carry positions through results.

Corporate actions need a data check. After a split or bonus, an unadjusted chart shows a fake crash and the indicator will read it as a real one. Authorised data vendors and TradingView adjust history, but if a signal appears on a stock that has just split, check the data first.

Limits specific to stock trading

The signal knows nothing about the company. It will print a buy on a stock an hour before poor results, because price had been rising. It does not read news, order books or delivery data. Cash-only stocks can also freeze at a circuit limit, and a stop-loss cannot execute when there are no buyers; check the current NSE price band for anything outside F&O.

Scanning 150 symbols also means more signals than you can take. More rows is more filtering, not more opportunity. Some will hit their stop-loss, and we do not publish an accuracy percentage for stocks or any other segment.

Questions about NSE stocks

Can the software scan all F&O stocks at once?

On AmiBroker, yes. The Exploration runs the same AFL over any watchlist and returns every symbol with a fresh signal on your chosen timeframe, with entry, targets and stop-loss in columns. Your data feed must deliver those symbols in real time. On TradingView there is no watchlist scan for invite-only indicators; you set alerts per symbol instead, within your plan's alert limit.

Does it work for cash-market stocks outside F&O?

It will plot on any NSE symbol your platform has data for. Whether the signal is tradable is another matter. Small and mid-cap cash stocks have wider spreads, thinner depth and circuit limits, so intraday levels are often not achievable at the printed price. Daily charts are the more realistic use for them.

How do I handle signals around quarterly results?

The software does not know results dates, so you have to. For swing trades, check the company's announcement date before entry and decide whether you will hold through it; a gap can skip the stop-loss entirely. For intraday, expect very large candles on results day and a wide stop-loss. Many users simply remove reporting companies from that day's watchlist.

Which data feed do I need for stock signals in AmiBroker?

A real-time NSE feed from an authorised data vendor that covers cash and, if you trade them, F&O symbols. The symbol count in your subscription matters more here than on an index-only setup, because the scanner can only scan what the feed delivers. We help you compare vendors during the trial; the feed and the AmiBroker licence are bought from those companies directly.

Are the signals suitable for long-term investing?

Not really. These are trading signals derived from price, with a stop-loss and three targets, and on a daily chart they describe swings of days to a few weeks. They say nothing about valuation, earnings or business quality. If you are building a portfolio to hold for years, this is the wrong tool, and it is not investment advice in any case.
